Introducing MindShift: Psychology Beyond the Therapy Room, a new monthly series from ArPA’s Early Career Committee.
MindShift is designed to expand your perspective on the many ways psychology impacts the world. Each session explores topics beyond direct clinical practice, including AI, leadership, education, research, advocacy, and more. This is an inclusive, member-focused space for psychology professionals at all stages of their career.
August Session: Ethical Social Media Usage and Presence
Social media is part of how we communicate, connect, and show up professionally. For psychology professionals, navigating it ethically matters. This session creates space to explore what ethical social media use looks like in our profession and how we can build a presence that reflects our values.

About the Moderator:
Isis Pettway, LPC, NCC is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Senior Clinical Therapist with the UAMS AR ConnectNow Clinic. She currently serves children (ages 6 and up), adolescents, and adults across Arkansas. She brings experience in direct client care, workshop facilitation, speaking engagements, and media appearances.
Isis received her undergraduate degree from the University of Central Arkansas and her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, with an Emphasis in Play Therapy, from John Brown University. She is licensed by the Arkansas Board of Counseling Examiners.
